TRY THIS EXERCISE
Before I share what I've discovered,
try this thought exercise
to find out what YOU want.
Grab a piece of paper and pen/pencil. Or do the exercise out loud.
When people do this they often feel a sense of calm,
and connection to creative purpose.
I just recorded a podcast guest spot and the host asked me,
what are three questions someone can ask to find their deeper creative purpose?
There are many frameworks for discovering purpose.
I've seen one beat them all.
It's one question.
It's the most common AND hardest to answer.
1. What do you want?
And there's a trick to this question. You don't ask it once.
If you want to get to the REAL answer, you ask it, and ask it again, and again, and again.
Your first answer probably feels safe, or obvious. Common answers include more money, more freedom, more opportunity, and more time.
Now ask again.
2. Let's say you had that. Now what do you want?
Before you answer, let yourself relax into the idea that you already have the thing you just said. Imagine what it feels like to have that be completely true.
When those immediate needs are met, you've visualized a space where you can have something that's even more important.
What is that more important thing?
Common answers include improved health, improved relationships, a feeling of safety, confidence and clarity.
3. Now ask again. If you want a benchmark, ask ten times.
Notice how and if your answers get simpler and deeper.
WHAT CREATIVES WANT
I've worked with hundreds of creatives.
I've lead this exercise with many of them.
Below are the common answers that many of these creatives start with, and find at the end of the exercise.
To find your style.
To make progress.
To meet yourself, like, your real self not your Instagram self.
To be in a community of like-minded people.
Insights and frameworks into the business of being an artist.
Insights and frameworks into the mindset of being an artist.
Better communication skills, for art and life.
Inspiration and energy, for art and life.
Artistic and personal growth, with confidence and clarity.
And the most common thing creatives want?
The most common answer past all the rest?
10. To be yourself and be in a place where you truly belong

PS - The elephant in the room
Let me address the elephant, is this snake oil? There's hundreds of coaches out there promising 10x this, 5 easy ways to guaranteed that.
I'm not going to promise you anything that easy.
Nothing worthwhile was ever easy and "overnight success" was always years in the making.
Here's what I CAN tell you.
I can tell you the results people say they got, like clarity and fulfillment.
I can tell you that everyone who has joined has said that this is truly a different kind of community than anything they've seen on the internet. Their words.
I can tell you have decades of art world experience, more than a decade of mentoring artists, and multiple difficult-to-achieve certifications with internationally recognized organizations as a coach.
I can tell you that we really care about our community members.
That you aren't just a number.
We actually know and support each other.
If you have any other concerns or doubts, do hit reply, I'm happy to answer anything.
